My name is Gameedah Riffel I am a South African Expat living in the United Arab Emirates. I am proud to be representing the Middle East and North Africa Regions as well as my home country of South Africa. Having been in the kitchen since the age of 9, I have been working towards becoming the best in the industry for almost 20 years and am very excited to show my skills on this World Stage! I am currently working as a Pastry Demi Chef de Partie at Agatha, a Pan- Asian Restaurant in Dubai and have experience working in Luxury 5-Star Hotels and High-end Restaurants focusing on French and Asian Cuisines. I hold an Honours Degree in Food Science and a Diploma in Patisserie and Baking from the International Center of Culinary Arts. The link between Food and Science has always been one that amazes me and I always try and use it in my dishes. I am also a published author and poet and always say that my two passions in life are food and writing. Food is more than a career for me, it is a lifelong dedication and I am proud to represent it at the World Food Championships!
